I wonder if the people behind godhatesfags.com eat shellfish? The same
set of Biblical rules that forbid homosexuality also forbid the eating
of shellfish, as well as squids and octopi:
Leviticus 11:10
"And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers,
of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the
waters, they shall be an abomination unto you."
11:11
"They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their
flesh, but ye shall have their carcasses in abomination."
11:12
"Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an
abomination unto you."
That's right, an abomination, just like homosexuality. If you're following the laws of Leviticus, you can't eat pork either:
11:7
"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he
cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you."
Also, those jeans LL Bean makes, with the wool lining? They're forbidden by God:
19:19
"Ye shall keep my statutes. ... neither shall a garment mingled of linen
and woolen come upon thee."
If you're going to follow one of God's laws, you better follow them all!

My Reply:
I would honestly have more respect for these people if they did
their best to abide by all of these rules. Instead I get the impression that they
are relishing in a Biblical loop hole that allows them to
sanctimoniously express their hate. After I received your note I
visited their site again and noticed the mocking language used to
describe homosexuals. They use juvenile phrases like
"butt-buddies" which in my mind illustrates that they aren't
serious about "loving the sinner and hating the sin" as most
Christians claim. The God Hates Fags authors assert that they
are performing a public service, but I doubt if they have convinced
too many people of their genuine concern for the souls of
homosexuals. It is hard to imagine Jesus returning to Earth and
slapping these name-calling ignoramuses on the back to congratulate
them on a job well done.
