2 July 2008 around one o’clock I went to an internet shop at Pondok Labu across the Aneka Buana supermarket, to make a design of a painting about Fira Basuki and a child suffering from cancer, with Paris Hilton in the foreground. Although it was rather faraway compared to the Internet shop I used to go, I needed to get there because other Internet shops rarely served the Adobe Photoshop. Actually close to the house where I live, there is an Internet shop at Shelly Salon that equipped with Adobe Photoshop. But probably because it is located inside a housing complex of Griya Cinere, so the handling seems more like household affairs. Sometimes in the morning of working day it was closed. Or there was a note in the door "Will be opened after 1 o’clock in the afternoon". Or, the door was opened, with the word "open" hanged on the door, but the padlock in the front gate was locked. Unlike other days, the Internet shop at Pondok Labu that day was full of customers, some motorcycles parked in front of it. I needed to wait for half an hour to get my turn. And it was in a different kind of computer, placed alone inside a room of approximately 2 by 2 meter. The computer has two monitors, one monitor to display the Adobe Photoshop and the other monitor to display Internet. At first I was in doubt to use it, because I was confused about how to move the cursor to the second monitor. It appeared to be easy, just moved the mouse and the cursor would jump from one monitor to the other. While I was in the middle of designing the painting, some sirens sounds appeared from the outside. Nearly an hour, I finished the design and left the Internet shop. It was then I found that some policemen were busy on the road, arranging the traffic not to go straight ahead to the Pondok Labu market area, only the fireman cars and trucks that were allowed to enter. I had no other choice than to move ahead, and half a mile later I was in front of the market. Not all of the market was in fire, only some four or five kiosks on the side of the threes story market building. I happened to bring a camera so I made some pictures there. When I continued walking to leave the market, around one hundred meters from the market, a white VW Transformer made a U-turn to avoid the crowded street in front of the market. It was another version of VW Caravelle that entered Indonesian market last year. And its license plate was B – 11 – RS.

To make sure there would be no misunderstanding about my relationship with Fira Basuki, I need to explain here the background. Fira Basuki is a young writer who successfully produced some Novels. Around three months ago she appeared on TV mentioning that she is now the Chief Editor of Cosmopolitan Indonesian edition. It immediately inspired me to make a contact with her someday, because Cosmopolitan is known as the magazine that often have Paris Hilton on the cover. Among which, on the fourth birthday last year, the cover was Paris Hilton. I needed to contact Fira because I would like to produce website of my letters to Paris Hilton again, to replace the "Paris Bridge to Heaven" produced in 2005-2006. Because when I wrote that "Paris Bridge to Heaven" there was the disaster of hurricane Katrina that drowned the city of New Orleans, and later on Paris Hilton cancelled her engagement with Paris Latsis, and it made me feel uncomfortable, as if my writing her had caused such troubles. By writing the new letters I hope it would go with no more disasters again. And it would be nice to have Fira Basuki in those new letters, as co-author or something like that, to also include her day to day activities that might be interesting to write to Paris Hilton. Something more about Fira Basuki is her last name. It reminds me with comedian Basuki, who had a sudden death on 12 December 2007 after playing Futsal. So my relationship with Fira Basuki would be like "Firman a Basuki", and it would be in accordance with my consent to move out of this world soon. I wrote my first message on her guest book at multiply.com on 2 June 2008, and the reply came on 11 June 2008 saying that she accepted my invitation to become her contact.

And it was strengthen with the crash of CASA 212 on the foot of mount Salak that happened in 26 June 2008, a view days after I began my contact with Fira Basuki. The words "on the foot of mount Salak" are like containing the word "futsal".

This painting design was inspired by Fira Basuki’s plan to arrange a charity auction on the birthday of Cosmopolitan Indonesia, and the fund would be donated to Yayasan Kanker Anak or the Foundation of Child Cancer. At first I placed the photo of Paris Hilton just like it was, but after the fire at Pondok Labu market came an idea in my mind to make Paris Hilton looks like a gold statue.
