| Cloud Dreamer was the inspiration for Happy Trails. When Minty was just getting back into MLP collecting, she got out her old ponies and discovered that CD's symbol was peeling (this is quite common with Magic Message ponies). Other than that, CD was in perfect shape, but Minty had been reading about MLP customizing and wanted to try it herself. She painted several coats of deep silver nail polish onto CD and colored the streak in the pony's hair black. However, Minty started the custom without a real plan, and because of that, she messed up the symbol. ;) Besides, she missed CD. So she refused to customize another MLP for the next six months and spent a few hours fixing up CD instead. CD's symbols were redone with blue acrylic paint (the symbols in the picture are blue nail polish, but as many MLP people have come to realize, nail polish doesn't last forever). The symbols don't change anymore, but at least they look nice on display. :) Now Minty only starts a custom pony if she has a definite plan and if the pony is in customizable condition. |
