When Tootsie first arrived at CloverFlower Fields, she was so odd looking that only fakies would hang out with her. It's true! Her only friends were a trio of Remco fakies, a Remco baby, a Cabbage Patch pony, and a freaky fakie with real inset eyes. Just ask Lady Moondancer if you don't believe this. ;) As the before picture below on the left illustrates, Tootsie had been the victim of the all-too-common "forelock buzz." This malady apparently occurs when a child decides her pony cannot see well with her mane hanging in her her eyes. Out come the scissors, and *snip!* suddenly the first ten plugs of mane hair are nothing more than stubble. As you can imagine, this look is quite embarrassing for MLPs, and often results in them enduring many jokes about equine pattern balding and the Hair Club for Ponies. In addition to this, Tootsie had also had the last quarter of her mane shortened, and her tail severely cropped. Luckily, Lady Minty had a dollar-store fakie sitting around who just happened to have the exact same shade of hair as Tootsie. One full-tail and partial-mane transplant later (along with a general clean-up), Tootsie is feeling great again, as is illustrated in the after picture below on the right.
