Lakes for all...... Cobbleacre Lakes caters for all types of angling disciplines. All of our lakes are stocked with specimen sized Carp, Tench, Bream, Catfish, Roach, Crucians, Ide, Big Perch (To 4lb) and Rudd. Advice on tactics, bait and location will be offered on your arrival.

Heron Lake
Heron
Lake is the newest of all our lakes. The lake was completed during Sept 2002 and
is as you can see a long lake of approximately 5 acres. The lake has been
heavily (10,000 fish) stocked with Mirror & Common carp to 10lb, Crucian Carp, Bream to 12lb,
Tench to 9lb, Chub, Roach, Rudd and Ide. The lake is open from 15 March 2003 and is open
to match bookings from Jan 2003. Be there on the official opening day! Angling star Bob Nudd will officially open Heron Lake on 15 March 2003, come and join in the fun and games! |

(2) Adams Lake Adams lake is a truly superb sheet of water. The lake is brimming with some beautiful carp averaging 3-4lb but going to 23lb. The lake is ideal for pleasure anglers, it is not a lake you are likely to blank on! Tench average 4lb but the chance of a fish weighing 7-10lb is a real one. Bigger Carp and Tench fall to legering and method tactics, with flavoured sweetcorn being the favoured bait. |

(3) Mario's Lake
This is our big fish water. This really is a beautiful lake. Surrounded by mature woodland it is a haven for all types of wildlife, Red Deer, Grass Snakes and Sparrow Hawks are spotted regularly by our visitors. The lake is a real 'Bivvy boy' haven! There are Ghost, Mirror and common Carp averaging 19-20lb and going up to 31lb. Catfish to 30Lb and Big Tench and Bream. The lake is approximately 4 acres. Best tactics are to fish margins or to the Island, with sweetcorn and Tiger nuts being the preferred bait. Catfish respond to the 'Medusa Rig' popped up over dead maggots or Halibut pellet.

Amy's lake is our match lake. The lake is
reserved on most Sundays, please check for availability. The lake is a mature 2
acre lake averaging 6-8 feet. It is a fantastic water and big weights are
regularly taken The match record stands at 145lb. The lake holds a huge head of
Carp to 10lb,Tench averaging 3lb but going to 8lb,Bream,Ide,Crucians,Rudd and
big Perch. Last year a Perch of 5lb 1oz was taken. Best tactics here are corn
and maggot fished under a waggler float.
Andrews Pond is approximately 1 acre and
is a real fun water! Carp and Tench predominate and go to 12 and 6lb
respectively. The water also holds some nice Roach to 3lb, Bream to 5lb and
Perch. A fantastic surface fishing water, with dog biscuit being the favoured
bait. Float fishing tactics work well, fish the margins or to the lilies
for the best results.
