Journeys of a Catholic Witch: Letter 13

Blessings Markus,
Sorry it took so long! I have been reading loads and have a page I would like to get your imput on. This will be from a Catholic point of view on my part of course. http://members.aol.com/ChrMystic/index.html

Markus, I have never in my life read the bible cover to cover, but now I'm working on that, trying to tie things together. Catholics have this little belief about saying the rosary and it brings you certain graces, odd hugh? I keep finding so much stuff, like in the bible this morning there was a part about someone receiving a divination! There seemed to be a lot of that stuff then!!! I'll just keep reading til I find what I'm looking for I guess. There are some amazing things about the Saints, many being mystic(I think this may be a term much like witchcraft), they even have events about levitation. Wow, hugh! I just keep finding it more and more fascinating. I'm beginning to think this religion of mine is involved more with the craft than I originally thought! Anyway, I got the book about the solitary practionar, but am yet to be impressed. It just seems trivial. Maybe it will get better as I go on.

Still working on the candle thing! You mentioned something about using my finger or something? Can you explain exactly what you meant. I have been putting my fingers rather close to the flame and my right finger seems to make the flame away like a resistance is there, but my left side seems to draw almost like a magnet. Does this make any sense? It also seems like I may be getting it (the flame) to thin out, but not a whole lot of action on the big flame yet!

About the empathic thing, it just seems to be a feeling, it's very hard to describe. It's kinda like the thing when my children come up and say mom and I tell them yes or no and they ask what, so I tell them what they were going to ask. It just is there. Idon't know why of how. Guess it's the emotion bond or something. Hey, Markus, have you ever heard of a caul(spelling?) I was reading somewhere about divination stuff and this was mentioned. My youngest was born with a caul on his head. A lady tole me this was a sign of a seer. Like an old tale saying that a child born with a caul will be able to see into the future. Ever heard of it? Anyway, enough for today. I may be a little delayed, as I do more studying on the matter, but keep me informed!

Bless You,
SeeShelle

Well, I've never been Catholic, but I'll give it a shot :) Will let you know in the next letter.

Depends on what you mean by "odd," why do you think the rosary brings graces and where do you think that belief may have come from?

I keep finding so much stuff, like in the bible this morning there was a part about someone receiving a divination! There seemed to be a lot of that stuff then!!! I'll just keep reading til I find what I'm looking for I guess.

Well??? While your reading *I* want to hear about the parts too! Where is the divination section... I DO own a bible you know :p

There are some amazing things about the Saints, many being mystic(I think this may be a term much like witchcraft), they even have events about levitation. Wow, hugh! I just keep finding it more and more fascinating. I'm beginning to think this religion of mine is involved more with the craft than I originally thought!

So do many paths, especially the mainstream religions. Many of their principles and ideas came from their Pagan ancestors and were simply modified a bit here and there to accomidate their own standards.

Anyway, I got the book about the solitary practionar, but am yet to be impressed. It just seems trivial. Maybe it will get better as I go on.

I fear you'll find much of the published Craft literature trivial and frivilous. Read between the lines and you'll learn more.

Still working on the candle thing! You mentioned something about using my finger or something? Can you explain exactly what you meant. I have been putting my fingers rather close to the flame and my right finger seems to make the flame away like a resistance is there, but my left side seems to draw almost like a magnet. Does this make any sense?

Sure it does. With all people, one hand is always more receptive than the other and generally this hand is the Opposite of your dominant hand. (ie, if you are right handed, your left hand will pull energy in) Conversely, your dominant hand will be more projective, pushing energy out. Therefore, I'm assuming you are right handed. Now I say "generally" because either hand is able to do both, but one always has a greater tendency for receiving and the other from projecting. Well done.

The finger exercise I was talking about was to put your index finger and your thumb together like you were pinching something and you them as sort of a "handle" on the flame. When you spread your fingers wide, the flame will thicken, when you spread them tall, the flame will lenghten. Likewise if you crunch your fingers together vertically, the flame will shrink. (No, that won't put it out.) It's a technique that may add a bit of aid to your manipulation, but I see you have had a success without it. Way to go!

It also seems like I may be getting it (the flame) to thin out, but not a whole lot of action on the big flame yet!

A start is a start, hun!

That's exactly what empathy is: an emotional bond through which you can sense anothers emotions. Trained empaths can "create" temporary bonds with others and therefore, they can also Read the person's emotions.

Can't say that I have heard of it. What is it?

Anyway, enough for today. I may be a little delayed, as I do more studying on the matter, but keep me informed!

Naturally :)

Blessings,
Markus
