Where is the continual metaphor that runs through all of life. You can throw a net out into this Ocean....But don't you find, you just end up catching yourself. Listen into the Silence, don't you hear the introverts yelling in their madness. We all feel the same, but what about those that have not the words to describe those feelings. The entire universe has its replica within.
Why is the direction of scientific understanding therefore outward. To the edges of things. To the most extreme points on the scale of matter, both large and small. But look, the funny thing is, when we reach the extreme points on the scale of matter we meet the interior of ourselves. If we are not trying to understand who we are then what exactly are we doing.
Science seems to look upon knowledge as a territory to be captured. Of mastering data, of controlling phenomena, of smashing the atom, of dominating the physical world. If you think of knowledge as only warfare and mastery. Then you will end up with a world of weapons and masters.
You have to know who you are before you come out here. There are no boundaries here, no laws, no edges. We make ourselves at home in the world by putting boundaries around everything. Boundaries of Rationality. It has been the project of western civilization since its beginning to control the world by reducing it to the space of the human intellect. As the Greeks used to say, "Man is the measure of all things." What an arrogant idea. The Gods were right to punish Prometheus. Prometheus taught man to believe that they could control the expressions of life by technological means. He was horribly punished for this, because the gods knew that once man tasted science....he would seek to control everything. Hence, knowledge would become a form of warfare.
The television was a result of such a scientific theory. The atom and the unconscious where discovered in the same years. Man peered into the subatomic world and found something he could not comprehend with the olds laws handed down to him. Jung and Freud were also dazed by the unconscious of mankind. It also had a life of its own. The dreams of man took on a great mystery. The Old order was crushed. Quantum mechanics came about and with it the electronic world has we know it.
The discovery of the Unconscious was far more complex and haunting and a knew interpretation of man was proposed and rejected by mankind. The full findings of psychology are still repressed and left out of our educational institutions to this day. Still is it not taught within elementary nor high school. Through our dreams we have found that there is this 'something' this something within us that is us but not a personal us. What is trying to communicate with us through the night time dreams of individuals that make up 'Mankind'.
Material science has mathematics at there disposal to proclaim universal truths while psychology pushes validity through personal experiences. With the dream world we have found a language, a language that holds all subjective worlds together. There is a language of the imagination, a language of Universal Archetypal symbols used for communication by this 'something'. In the dreams of Mankind futures have been previewed. The souls that have passed on have been spoken with.
Yet all this is pushed aside. Swept under the rug we have called paranormal. There is much under this rug. It is the symbol of mans intellectual fears, the repressed collective massive of avoided religious Truth. The entire Universe speaks through the subjective world of man yet there is no conscious will towards it. Science concerned with the objective world and its mechanical laws have all died. There must come into existence a science of the inner world, the inner universe. Where through the tools of sensation, feeling and the experiencing of ideas a new child must enter onto the world seen. If we keep running from this 'something' within us, we will continue to reap havoc upon this world. We are all running, trying to fill a hole that we have found within ourselves with something else.
Just Stop! Listen into the Silence and what do you hear. You hear me and him, her and it. With that sacred silence the ancients of heaven do meet. Science and Spirituality must come to gather. We need a new perception of who and what we are and in turn the world around us. There is no separation, it is an illusion of ego consciousness. We are all One Mind. One Spirit. One Earth. Mind and Matter are two manifestations of the same thing. Mind and Matter are only separated with our minds. The Subjective and the Objective are projections of one another. And indeed there is no thing called Death. Death must be conquered within the minds of man, once this is done it will open him up to contemplate Infinite.
You can not succeed in bringing down this beast of Economic rationale. The only way is to stop participating in it. Practice "Non-Participation", not aggressive activism. Remember.....The Greek Goddess Irony always has stood awaiting at the end of Time.
