[LdyAshlynn] Ok, first off, who knows what a technique for lucid dreaming is?

[LdyAshlynn] A very basic technique is to inform yourself that you shall recall the dream
[northstar] ahh ashlynn, is it that simple (or does it require very much practice?)
[LdyAshlynn] You can also direct your dreaming by suggesting a topic just prior to 
   slumber
[Markus] suggesting a topic can (and helps) to be both physical and mental... ie, to 
   dream of an ancestor, write their sig AND know you will dream of them
[Markus] one must be in healthy physical condition for the suggestion to work (as I 
   found out)
[LdyAshlynn] I concur, and there are other methods
[Markus] if your body is exhausted, it will be more difficult 
[LdyAshlynn] Lucid dreaming Fee, you have a favoured tech?.

[LdyAshlynn] What would be a reason for recalling dreams?
[Markus] does a certain position help?
[FeenixRed] I don't use any 'technique' really....
[Markus] ie lying on your back, side, etc?

[LdyAshlynn] I have not heard of one being better, but know Jung favoured the back
[FeenixRed] Yes... my dreams give me real insight into my own mind and life...
[Markus] Dreams are the subcon.'s way of communicating with the con.
[northstar] and more, adds mystery that perhaps way later only may come to 
   clarity...question begets answer betetting more questions
[LdyAshlynn] Aye, and prophetic dreams can be induced

[northstar] how does one INDUCE THE RARE PROPHETIC DREAM?
[LdyAshlynn] Have you trained yourself to awake?
[FeenixRed] Only during the more violent ones... I have a code implanted that wakes 
   me...

[northstar] THOSE to me are really rare...I have no idea how to bring them about just 
   because I would like one (prophetic)

[LdyAshlynn] Well, most often these days, one sleeps on an herb stuffed pillow

[LdyAshlynn] fasting is an excellent tool for gaining spiritual awareness

   intoxication....rather dangerous though

[Markus] why's that? I know water can build in the bladder to the point of infection or 
   rupture if you're not careful but if you keep a toilet available, that prob should be taken care of
[LdyAshlynn] If one drinks a gallon or over a day, it causes electrolyte imbalance
[northstar] right, and?
[Markus] oh duh! that too
[LdyAshlynn] that causes the brain to go into a more primative level
[northstar] really!!?
[LdyAshlynn] into the realm where the unknown lies
[LdyAshlynn] aye
[northstar] never heard of such!
[LdyAshlynn] It is not recommended
[northstar] but...no more than a gal.?

[LdyAshlynn] Its like the twilight of diabetic coma
[Markus] this is while fasting that you mean?
[LdyAshlynn] to induce visions would be a gallon or two, to cause death, I think 3-4
[LdyAshlynn] usually son
* Markus has a friend that drinks about 2 gallons a day especially when sik
[LdyAshlynn] It is bloody dangerous
[Markus] he's a bit strange but not primitive 
[LdyAshlynn] IF he is balanced in other ways, its ok
[northstar] gosh ashlynn I hve discovered portals to the astral level... they are very 
   secret to me, someday maybe ill share w/you, ashlynn
[Ravendancer] in most dreams I'm fairly lucid...

[Ravendancer] sometimes I even realize I'm dreaming and act accordingly ridiculous   ;)

[northstar] for me I welcome lucid dreams tho possess no control over invoking them

[northstar] will try some of what youve suggested
[LdyAshlynn] stay away from water intoxication though
