Welcome
to FED-UP (Fast Electronic Dissemination of Unpublished Papers)
in Sport & Exercise Psychology
What
is SPORTPSYC Unpublished?
SPORTPSYC
Unpublished is a new-ideology based
electronic form of information dissemination. It is primarily designed
for students who are studying Sport and Exercise Psychology units, modules,
courses or degrees that wish for a simple and efficient method of sharing
with others the 'fruits' of their hard work. These include the results
of empirical investigations and 'first attempts' at constructing research
papers.
Its scope
is five-fold:
-
to share novel
results or information immediately in a fast, easily accessible, and inexpensive
way with the interested students and scholars in the field
-
to ensure continuous
access to all articles posted on SPORTPSYC
Unpublished by maintaining indexed electronic
(yearly) volumes
-
to accept and
disseminate all articles submitted to SPORTPSYC
Unpublished in a conforming format
-
to subject (at
a later stage) the posted articles to a "voluntary" method of peer evaluation,
whereby expert readers' opinion will be compiled to attribute a symbolic
rating to articles with sufficient feedback. Accordingly:
***** = excellent article, major contribution
**** = good article, important contribution
*** = fair article, some contribution
** = poor article, little or no contribution
* = very poor article, no contribution at all
UR = unrated article
to reduce the
cost, delay, paper waste, and postal correspondence involved in asking
and distributing reprints
