Hi! My name is Jackie b.k.a. "that beautiful girl with the awesome personality". I attend Princeton University in illustrious New Jersey; I'm class of 2000, WHICH MEANS I GRADUATE IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS!!!! (if i finish my thesis, that is...) I'm a 21 year old Gemini who enjoys walks on the beach, moonlit nights, blah blah blah... :)

My real home is in Macon, GA, where the weather is much nicer and most of the people who love me live. They include my 2 sisters - Melissa, who's 19 and is a freshman at Emory , Keizia, who's 20 and attends U of Georgia - and a brother, Xavier, who's 23. I longed to be an only child for years, but now that we don't have to fight over the front seat, I love having siblings so close in age. WE HAVE so many JOOOOO-ECKS!!! It's great! We live with my mother, Kathy , who's a wonderful lady :) My father, Jack (after whom I was named, I guess) is crazy. I've tried to legitimately diagnose him with some disorder based on my somewhat shaky foundation in psychology , but have had little success...Hit me back after I get my Ph.D., though.

Also, I am a PROUD vegetarian! :) But don't worry, I ain't mad at cha for eating flesh; to each his/her own!

I'm a psychology major, so YES I can read your mind and NO I won't be able to get a job after I graduate. My minor is Spanish, which I hope to continue studying in grad school and use in whatever career I end up. Some of my favorite classes are/have been:

After graduation, I'd like to teach English as a Second Language somewhere in Latin America for a couple of years. Or maybe Peace Corps or Teach for America. Then it's off to grad school for clinical psych!! For now, I plan to be a clinical psychologist, singer, teacher, meteorologist, or run an agency helping abused women and children. Perchance I'll do all five...

I can't say that I've been to many places, but I want to go to many places! The coolest places that I've been are:

Montego Bay, Jamaica - Only there for a week back in '94, but I had an awesome time and got to meet some cool Jamaicans. I'll be back...

New Orleans, LA - In summer 1998, I taught Journalism to 6th and 7th graders with a program called Summerbridge. It was hard, but I had a *great* time. The best word for NOLA is sultry. Beautiful city, THE FRENCH QUARTER, jazz, friendly folks... Pictures coming soon...

Xalapa, Veracruz MEXICO - All I have to say is WOW! I studied at la Universidad de Veracruz in a summer program for foreign students. I also got visit a couple of other states in Mexico ¡Qué bueno era! No puedo esperar a regresar...

Miami, FL - Will Smith was right; this is the city where the heat is on!! I was only there for a few days, but WHEW!!! Multicultural, international flair; tropical environment...Mmmmm...

New York, NY - What can I say about the Big Apple? I LOVE IT!!!

These are some of the places that I plan to spend time in once I have some $$:

I usually don't have much free time with studying and/or procrastinating, but with the time that I do have, I sing in and Culturally Yours, Princeton's PREMIERE a cappella group (in my opinion anyway) and the Gospel Ensemble. I LOVE to sing.

My ex-roommate Melissa, sings in another a cappella group here, the Tigressions, and she also sings in Gospel Ensemble. She's my bestest friend at the University. We often break out into harmonized song for no apparent reason. Some folks think we're crazy, but who cares? BY THE WAY, check out the list of PR0VERBS!! that we have. They provide humorous yet useful insights on everyday life...

I am also a member of the oh-so devine Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (#4PESP'99). A big OOOOO-ooo-OOP to all of the illustrious women of crimson and creme, and a special OOO-ROOOO to the bruhs of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Additionally, I'm a Resident Adviser, so I suppose some unsuspecting freshmen might actually look up to me. And to support my drug habit (just kidding), I work at the glamourous Princeton Student Center, where Snapple and random flyers/fliers abound.

I love to read (it's fundamental, you know). Here's a pic of me reading! Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Stephen King and Edgar Allan Poe are a few of my favorite writers.

As my friends can tell you, I must commune with myself every now and then to maintain my sanity, and I write in my journal when I can. Iyanla Vanzant is AWESOME if you (like me) would like a guide in self-reflecting and such...

So much reading is required for my classes (not that I really do it all) that I sometimes have to give it a rest and veg out for awhile. My favorite movies are Clifford with Martin Short, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Aladdin, Willy Wonka & Chocolate Factory, The Five Heartbeats, and Tommy Boy.

Whenever I can (NEVER), I watch The Simpsons, the best animated show ever made.

TV shows I like: X-files, ER, Martin, Sienfeld, Frasier, Real World, Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Quantum Leap, Good Times, What's Happenin', In Living Color, Saturday Night Live (seasons '92-'96), The Critic, and VH-1 Pop-up Videos.

MUSIC

As far as music goes, I listen to almost everything, from Dirty South booty shakin' music to Classical to Heavy Metal to Jazz. A few of my favorite artists are:
