I am a graduate Chemical Engineer from Jadavpur University, Calcutta of 1992 batch. I also acquired my Masters' in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1994 and pursued my doctoral research work in the field of Chemical Process Control in the same institute upto 1998. Presently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.

Touchstone of Humanity
Usually, I get long chain mails from my pals ranging from repeated stale jokes to hi funda morals. However, a few of them really touched my heart which I wish to share with you. Hope you'll feel the same way.
- Here is a story of two ailing soldiers in a dull hospital room. It's a bit sentimental stuff but certainly inspire you to do something for others.
- The best description of a FRIEND , I have ever found. Let me know if you have a better one.
- A chance meeting on a park bench and a feeling of camaraderie develops between a grandfather and a six-year-old. Talking to each other, they feel comforted by the fact that they have similarities. October 1 was observed as International Day of the Elderly, an occasion for us to see how much there is in common between the young and the old .
