WELCOME to the U. S. COAST GUARD ACADEMY CLASS of 1971 Home Page.
This page has been created and is maintained as an on-line method for maintaining contacts between classmates, to pass on information of both personal and professional nature, and hopefully to have a little fun, cause a smile, or maybe even a laugh as you remember back!

Your first challenge? Does the above quotation look familiar to you? Take a minute, go up and dig through the attic and find our Yearbook. Thought that quote would be the perfect beginning for our CLASS OF 1971 home page. Now that you've found it, take a few minutes (maybe longer?) paging through it. Brought back a lot of memories and some of those smiles, didn't it?

I just couldn't resist drafting this on a legal pad!   But I've used a spiral binder notepad for the pages which are reserved for news on what Classmates are doing.   Back issues of the Alumni Class Notes are now posted in SCUTTLEBUTT !   Go ahead...check it out!

Charlie Harris' article "Parable of the Boiled Frog" was published in the October '98 Bulletin. You can read the entire unedited article by linking to the PROFESSIONAL OPINION section. I'm sure Charlie would appreciate your comments --- just click Charlie to send him your E-mail comments.

Shop at Amazon.com!
Now, take a look immediately to the left. Our site is now associated with amazon.com. Here's the deal...in the market to buy a book or CD? Link to amazon.com from our page, order and pay for that book or CD, and our site will get a 5% referral fee. I'll forward the profits to the Academy on behalf of our Class. This is your chance to order John Kotter's "Leading Change" which Charlie referenced. You'll probably buy that book or others anyway...why not linked from our site so the Academy profits as well? Maybe you missed last Christmas, but REMEMBER…there's always next Christmas, birthday, anniversary or "just because!"

Did you check out SCUTTLEBUTT? The back issues of our Class Notes have all the photos that you’ve submitted for the Bulletin. Go ahead…check ‘em out!

Want to look at the photos from our 30th Reunion? Why didn’t you say so?
