This is NOT a live camera, but a regularly changing view of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia. The views shown are typical scenes in and around the city.

Unfortunately, these Everlasting Daisy's (Helipterum splendidum) aren't really so everlasting. They bloom in the dry semi-desert country all around the Eastern Goldfields region for a short time during late winter, early spring (August - September) after the late rains of winter. Growing in large carpets of tiny flowers, they bring life and colour to the otherwise dry scrublands.

The views will (hopefully) be changed every couple of days. The pictures are taken on either an Apple QuickTake 150 digital camera, or a Kodak DC40 digital camera. Pictures are processed using Apple QuickTake or PhotoEnhancer, and prepared for final viewing using PaintShop Pro.
