Surajtarnee is an old city which used to be the center of Srivichai kingdom. The province,685 kms from Bangkok, has the biggest area in the south of Thailand. Because it was the center of Srivichai, it has many ancient creatures such as Pra Borom Tard Chaiya. It also has the budhist area at Mookkraram of Prapudtatardpiku, a famous monk in Thailand Surajtarnee has many beautiful islands. For example, Samui island, Angtong islands, Pangan island and Tao island. It also has a monkey school that teach monkey how to get the coconut from the tree. It is a wonderful place for someone who like to go to the island.
