This course is a must for prospective teachers of high school mathematics. Content varies from year to year, but typically includes modern elementary geometry (a sequel to high school geometry), geometrical transform theory, geometrical construction, dissection theory, projective geometry, non-Euclidean geometry, finite geometries, foundations of geometry, the Erlangen program of codification of geometries, and the study of abstract spaces. Prerequisite : MAT 228 and some recollection of high school geometry.
