Lil Wayne and T-Pain perform in the "I Am Music Tour" at Verizon Center. Lil Wayne is a certified rock / rap star, boasting a tattoo proclaiming "I Am Music" right on his face—and that’s the name he chose for his tour with T-Pain, both of whom performed at Verizon Center on December 30. Wayne had an innovative stage design, complete with band members on floating platforms that came down from the ceiling. His "Tha Carter III" album is a critical (eight Grammy nomination) and commercial (three million sold) smash, and he amped the crowd with his hits "Get Money,” "A Milli" and "Lollipop"--complete with synchronized pelvic thrust pyrotechnics. T-Pain displayed his showmanship as well, performing "Good Life," "2-Step," and "Shawty" with a circus-like backdrop complete with big-top tent, acrobats, breakdancing little people and fire breathers.
