i found out tuesday at about 5:30pm that my monday publication deadline had been pushed up to today. i just finished, so i'm stepping away from the keyboard now. i leave you with a suggested cd:

jimmy cliff in the harder they come, movie soundtrack

if you don't have it you should. i had to special order it from ear x-tasy about 2 years ago....and i still love it.

getting out of bed in the morning just gets more difficult everyday. fortunately for me i can make my day what i want of it. things are winding down and for once i know exactly what i have to get done over the next 5 days. there is no point in starting something new....and there is no reason to get too worried about anything else. it's a cold wednesday morning and i'm sitting here in my pajamas. nothing wrong with that.

obviously i'm playing with the webcam...but it's off to bed.

"lay down my dear brothers, lay down and take your rest.
oh, won't you lay your head, upon your savior's chest
i love you, but jesus loves you the best
and i bid you goodnight...goodnight...goodnight....

and i bid you goodnight...goodnight....goodnight....."

when i was a little girl my mom made me a raggedy ann doll just like this one....and it hung on my wall. for my brother's room she made a raggedy andy. our house burned down when i was twelve and they, along with all our other possessions were lost.

my senior year of college while home visiting i mentioned to my mother in passing that i would like to have one again. and i forgot about it. that christmas morning when i got to the tree there sat an ann and andy that my mother had made for me. she has always been listening.

this painting was a gift from a dear friend, lisa carwile. she painted it herself and it has got to be one of my prized possessions.......and i appreciate it very much.

eli wasn't exactly thrilled to make this appearance, but isn't she cute? adopt a shelter pet.....she's the devil incarnate, but man she's fun to watch.....and a little more independent than my other pets.

when i am finally gone. i hope people who are dear to me, and those i have only known casually, will reflect on past experiences shared and say....."she was a good woman."

oh yeah.....nader will be here september 22, 2000. 7:00pm at the target center......he is accompanied by vice presidential candidate winona laduke, filmmaker/author michael moore, and special guests.

i wish i knew who the special guests were.....jesse ventura possibly? dang...that would be worth seeing.....i thought about calling in to a radio program for a chance to meet jesse's son, tyrell, just so i could maybe.....possibly get in good with the governor.

my governor can beat up your governor.....and really in it's own perverse way that is sort of cool.

last night i got zero sleep....really, i swear i was up most of the night. it was almost surreal....brad was having some sort of bout in his sleep....one of his "talking fits"....and he started yelling something about wasps....and i am terrified of wasps because they hate me and always sting me whenever given the opportunity....and apparently we have a whole attic full of them because they are coming down through a light fixture into our 3 season porch............anyway he was yelling about wasps and i woke up...and kept trying to find out what was up..........eventually i had to turn the light on and wake him all the way up just so i knew that there were no wasps in the bedroom....he really made no sense and i wasn't sure if he was talking to me or someone else in his dream..............what a weird night.

and he continued to talk until the clock went off at 6:00am and i sarcastically wished him a good morning, because i was already up, and i rolled over and fell back to sleep on his side of the bed after he left because it is always better no matter which side he sleeps on. i'm not a morning person. wonder what's eating him.....
