I am writing to add my voice to the rightful outpouring of outrage and horror at the antics of those Chelsea yobbos. I am with Di Canio on this one ! I think it is disgraceful that these young men showed such insensitivity to a pub full of grieving American tourists. Getting ones willy out in such circumstances is just not on ! I applaud Paulo’s stand, leading the Hammers in his natty stars and stripes alice band. Here is a man who has put his days of violent assaults on referees behind him and now feels he commands the moral high ground. I say bravo, Di Canio ! At the same time I must confess that I was involved in an unseemly incident with a bunch of our American cousins on Saturday night and furthermore was later caught by my nearest and dearest in a display of public nudity. But in my defence I can say that I was drunk and that they started it and they also backed down pretty quickly when faced with my chum’s offer to beat them senseless with a pool cue ! However being drunk is no excuse for being found by your missus locked outside your front door at 6.30am stark bollock naked. I would like to apologise to the people of America and of course to Paulo. As is customary in these situations I will fine myself 2 weeks wages and count myself lucky that I am not being suspended from work for the next month as Paulo would wish.
