Thanks again for all the favourable comments about my reports. I can't guarantee I'll be able to keep doing them with the regularity of the last few seasons, as I have new commitments that will make it hard for me to get to every game, but I'll try my best as I'm well aware that they are by far the most popular part of the site. I'll leave the reports for last season here for now until I get the time to archive them. For those who are new to this site,the idea is to provide an alternative view to the one you usually get in the newspapers. I tend to dwell on the seamy, human side of things where possible. The purpose is primarily to entertain, while still providing the reader with a good idea of what actually went on during the game. You may find some of the more robust language in these reports offensive. Sorry, but it reflects the language you hear at the games, so if you don't like a bit of swearing you might as well pack in football and certainly don't read these reports. |

| I only write a report if I've actually been at (and watched !) the game. The only exceptions are the occasional reports from matches I've seen on Sky, but I will always say if that's the case. If you're feeling nostalgic, remind yourself about the 1996-1997, 1997-1998 and 1998-1999 seasons. Feedback is, as always, greatly appreciated. |
