Hallelujah ! Important news this morning, as, amazingly, I've had a positive result from Soccernet regarding what I consider to be their unfair treatment of Chelsea fans in the headlines they send out to the news servers. The following is a reply from Mike With, Soccernet's Editor: "There is a really important debate about how fans are treated (by the police), perceived (by the 'public') and reported (i.e. by big horrible websites like us). We - I'm still a fan - CAN get our point across. You've proved here the fan can get the media off their arses to respond and debate and defend their work. We really make an effort at Soccernet to tell the truth, be balanced, provide a range of views. Some I agree with. Some I strongly disagree with. Doesn't stop me publishing them. Of course I'm going to be extra vigilant about Chelsea and the whole issue of headlines - thanks to you - but I still believe we haven't done anything to justify asking Chelsea or any other fans to 'to boycott this site'. What do you reckon ?" I reckon that if Mike is genuine in what he says, I withdraw my invitation for Chelsea fans to boycott Soccernet, and hallelujah !
