INTERNATIONAL ROLLER HOCKEY

RULES OF THE GAME

Chapter 7. Protests / Goal Average

Article 80. Protests
A protest will not be valid unless made on the rink by the captain of the protesting team to the referee who will immediately inform the captain of the opposing team.

In the case of administrative protests (bad state of the rink, players' equipment. unqualified players, etc.) only those made to the referee BEFORE the start of a match are valid. He will then advise the captains of both teams that the match is being played under protest. All protests must be confirmed by official letter addressed to the appropriate authority, accompanied by the necessary fee, within one and a half hours of the end of the game.

Article 81. Goal Average
For matches where the classification is by points, the following should be taken into consideration:
WIN 2 POINTS
DRAW 1 POINT
LOSE 0 POINTS
If at the end of a tournament two or more teams have obtained the same number of points, a classification can be obtained by either of the following methods:
  1. Between two teams:
    1. The one who defeats the other during the event will obtain the highest classification.
    2. If a draw occurs during the match between the two teams, the classification will be decided by the biggest difference between the total of goals scored and conceded.
    3. Should the results still be equal, the classification is decided by dividing the number of goals scored by the number of goals suffered, and the resulting figure, will decide the classification highest.
  2. Among three or more teams:
    1. If three or more teams have the same result in points at the end of an event, tournament or championship, final classification will be decided by the difference in goals scored and suffered during the matches played between the teams concerned.
    2. If the above is not enough, then classification is decided by the difference between the goals scored and suffered during the tournament or championship.
    3. Should the result still be equal, a classification can be obtained by dividing the goals scored, by those suffered during the matches played by the concerned teams.
    4. If this is not yet enough, the classification can be obtained by dividing the total number of goals scored, by those suffered during the total of the matches of the tournament or the championship.
Classification is decided by the size of the resulting figure.
