Hapoel Haifa, registering one of its worst games this season, still managed to defeat away the weak squad of Hapoel Beit-Shean, 1:0 - a corner of Offer Talker was continued by Goran Milenko, and Najouan Grayib deflected the ball in with his header. Meir Cohen, the keeper of Beit-Shean, made 2 superb saves from the legs of Rosso (3) and the header of Liron Basis (31). During the last 30 minutes, Haifa had to defend its own net from the vigorous attacks of Hapoel Beit-Shean, after the red card shown to Goran Milenko - the Croatian midfielder pushed Dudu Dahan, and the latter made a show and "helped" the referee Dani Koren to take a decision. Still, the guests had one more opportunity after a preparation of Grayib, but Ilan Tal wasted it.

The best game of the week and one of the best games of the season by now gave us 5 goals, one missed penalty, one comeback and altogether a game of great quality. Despite a certain pressure of the hosts, Beitar Jerusalem opened the score, when Shmuel Levi raised the ball from the right wing, and Offer Shitrit headed it home to the far corner of the awfully positioned Shai Hess. Hapoel answered one minute before the break, when a far-ranger of Kozoshvili found Walid Badir inside the box, and the defender volleyed it home from a very hard angle to the far corner of Korenfein who should've positioned himself differently. Korenfein still managed to parry the tremendous ball of Badir in a great flight (47), and on the other hand, Talesnikov couldn't overplay Shai Hess (50). 13 minutes after the break, the most beautiful goal of the game was scored - Korenfein got out to the corner flag and tried to clear the ball away, but the ball reached Gabor Marton, and the latter stopped it and sent a precisely measured arched shot from 30 meters under the left crossbar of Beitar, a ball even the flying header of Sergei Tretyak failed to parry. In another 7 minutes, a bad defence work of Beitar after a free kick performed by Marton, resulted in a shot of Ilie Stan; Moti Kakun, as usual, interfered with the ball and misled the miserable Korenfein, 3:1. The 69th minute could've been crucial to the continuation of the game, when Reuven Attar was knocked down inside the box after a typical penetration; however, Attar himself mercilessly wasted a penalty kick with a weak shot into the hands of Korenfein, and the keeper launched a quick counterattack, at the end of which Offer Shitrit used a nice goal pass of Nir Sevilla to overplay Shai Hess, 3:2. Until the end, Beitar pressed and pressed, but the defending Champions didn't succeed to equalize; lots of their claims were directed towards the referee Arik Haimovich, but I think he has led a very reasonable and decent game. Now Beitar stays already 9 points behind the leaders, Hapoel Haifa.

Yossi Benayoun, who was invited to the National team after this game, registered a superb performance vs the weak squad of Bnei-Yehuda Tel-Aviv; Alon Mizrahi, without scoring this time, made 2 goal passes vs the team of his youth. The first goal of Benayoun came after a pass of Mizrahi and a wonderful dribble inside the box, the 2nd came after a perfectly taken free kick under the right crossbar of Shaul Smadja, and the 3rd was a volley after a double-pass with Mizrahi; in between, Benayoun made also a goal pass to Romatko, who headed the ball to the far post and in. Another 2 bars of Haifa, achieved by Romatko (30) and Zhano (90), exposed the fact Bnei-Yehuda was still lucky.

In an interesting game, where the early penalty of Nissan Capeta was nullified by a clever equalizer of Udi Shnorman after a goal pass of Shai Aharon, the two keepers left the score even, altogether with an awful miss of Joseph Costelnik after a preparation of Victor Pacha (16). 3 minutes from time, though, the same Costelnik got the ball near the box, passed a defender and bounced it cleverly under the right crossbar of Yaniv Mizrahi, 2:1 to the hosts and yet another comeback. For Hapoel Rishon le-Zion, on the other hand, it was yet another time when it scored first and sucked last.

In a game with 3 great goals and 1 penalty scored, the 2 scorers were sent off one minute from time, for an unsportive behaviour. After 4 minutes of play, a penetration of Sebastian Simerotic resulted in a tremendous diagonal shot under the right crossbar of Ohad Cohen, 1:0. Hapoel was definitely dominant throughout most of the minutes, but Maccabee equalized temporarily, after a brilliant goal pass of Idan Tal and a good finish of Ismail Amar. However, Simerotic scored again from a penalty spot later on, after a foul of Eran Levi on Ron Nakhman, and 5 minutes from time, it was a wonderful penetration of Kefir Udi into the box; Avi Azulai was left in front of an empty net and couldn't miss, 3:1. Maccabee Petakh-Tikwa, the team which promised so much in the beginning of the season, fails by now time after time, even against the not-so-threatening rivals.

We could expect much more from the game of the 2 teams that know how to score. Holon, great in its away games but failing to adjust to the awful and narrow pitch at home, still tried to attack most of the time, but saw Akakiy Devadze in a crazy day, flying just everywhere like a cat and saving his net time after time. The saves from the shots of Tal Khen (70) and Marco Ben-Barukh (76) were definitely his peak, something to watch.

If Maccabee Yaffa can't take any points at home from Maccabee Tel-Aviv in its awful day, it's clear this team is hopeless. On the other hand, Maccabee Tel-Aviv should be thoroughly checked from inside as well. The former Double holders had several nice chances, all parried by a good Irakliy Zoidze; on the other hand, Alexander Uvarov didn't even have to stretch.

In a very strange game which brought nearly no soccer at all, a wonderful decisive goal was scored completely by chance - Adrian Ungur, finding himself 25 meters diagonally from the net, tried to bounce the ball into the box, but it misled Shuli Gilardi and went to his far post and in! Herzliya tried to do something, but was quite broken by this "redundant" goal; Sagi Strauss in Kefar-Saba's net denied several opportunities of the hosts as well.
