Shaquille O'Neal had 12 points and eight rebounds and Kobe Bryant and Cedric Ceballos each added 10 points as the Los Angeles Lakers remained unbeaten in the pre-season with a 90-80 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at Fresno, California.

O'Neal shot 4-of-10 from the field but just 4-of-11 from the foul line. Corie Blount had nine points and three assists and Eldon Cambell contributed eight points for the Lakers (3-0).

George McCloud led the Mavericks with 18 points and Derek Harper added 17 on 6-of-12 from the field. Dallas (0-4) shot a dismal 29-of-82 from the floor and was outscored 20-12 in the decisive fourth quarter.

Mavericks center Eric Montross left the game with an ankle injury and did not return.
