North Hunterdon still struggling -- 12/28/97


The North Hunterdon Wrestling Team again struggled in a tournament filled with good wrestlers. North has yet to produce a champion in the two tournaments entered this season, which may be a long one.

Head Coach of North Hunterdon, Dennis Haughey said, "This was better than last week, but there is still much work to do."

This week, 4 wrestlers competed for the championship, but they each failed in their bid. These were Ian Denlinger at 112, Eric Eisenhart at 119, Justin Bagley at 152, and John Schaible at 215.

North also had 4 wrestlers in the consolation finals, with only Chris Wowchuck managing to win third place at 119. The wrestlers taking 4th were Mike Furnari at 103, Kevin Powers at 125, and Neil Picone at 189 (Default).
