Tentative seedings and pairings
for next week's NJSIAA sectional
team wrestling tournament have
been compiled, based on records and
power points. The official pairings will
be announced by the NJSIAA on
Wednesday.
In some cases, a team with fewer
power points
moved past a
club directly
ahead of it by
virtue of a
head-to-head victory during the season.
The tournament will begin Feb.
17 with two rounds wrestled at the
gyms of the top two seeded teams in
each section.
On Feb. 19, Tuesday's survivors
will meet for the sectional crown at
the gyms of the higher-seeded teams,
with sectional survivors moving on to
the group championships Feb. 21.
The predetermined sites for the
six group tournaments are as follows:
Group 4 will be at the North Jersey, Section 1 winner; Group 3 will be
at the South Jersey winner; Group 2
will be at the Central Jersey winner;
Group 1 will be at the North Jersey,
Section 2 winner and Parochial A and
B will be held at the North Jersey, Parochial A winner.
