That's right, I used to chase the fencing team around the nation, covering their
search for the elusive national championship (it's been elusive for five
years). For my coverage, see the Columbia Daily Spectator
web site; do an archive search for fencing [a so-so method] or my name
[Yes! Much better! Read my other stuff!] [NOTE, 9/13/97--I don't know if, when they put the archive up at my journalism alma mater, they're going to go back to my tenure. But here's a free plug for the new guys, anyway].
NOTE--Though I did some of my fencing work for the Athletic Communications
office at Columbia, none of these pages are approved, endorsed or
otherwise (quite possibly) even known by the Athletic Department of the
University. For that kind of stuff, check out the official Columbia Fencing homepage, as maintained by co-Head Coach George Kolombatovich.
Anyway, some links to follow for fencing stuff.

For the particularly curious, some old stuff I've put on-line for old
iterations of this web page:

standings
1995-96 Columbia Fencing roster
1995-96 Columbia Fencing results
Also, see The United States Fencing
Association [USFA] Web page for some stuff on non-collegiate
fencing.
