As winter sets in the ice on Puslinch can get 3 to 6 inches thick. That's when you will see kite flyers using several different modes of traction kiting. Some use down hill skiis some use boards and a couple have homemade ice buggy's The pictured buggy is designed, built and ridden by Jim Everding |
Mark Groshens takes Jim's ice buggy for a spin. I think he has got the hang of it already! Of course many others come out and fly stunt kites and single line kites too. Some people have even figured out how to get banner poles into the hard ice.
