September 21st- Congrats goes out to team Romania for winning the Gold medal in the team competition. Andrea Raducan, took Gold in the AA Simona Amanar took Silver and and Maria Olaru took Bronze. I am changing my predictions VT stay s the same Amanar for Gold (I still believe she can win here) Svetlana Khorkina for Bars (There is no way they won't give it to her after the vault problems during the AA) Maria Olaru for beam (She has been a rock so far) and Elena Produnova for floor (She didn't qualify but some how I think Arkiev will put her in it after he replaced her with Zamo for the AA) If Produnova isn't entered the scores say it will be Svetlana Khorkina (Even tho her opeining pass is a whip thru to a double pike) I predict it will be Raducan or Simona Amanar. I also want to congratulate myself for picking 2 of the 3 top AA's. This is a lot closer then my usual predictions so go me:) **************************************************************************************** September 15th 2000- I have updated my predictions for the Olympics. You can check them out here HERE ********************************************************************************************* I was so dissapointed when Shannon pulled out of the Olympic Trials that I left my seat at the Fleetcenter and went home 25 minutes into the trials. I had no desire to sit there and see what happened and I didn't even turn on my TV till the next day. (Boy was I shocked when I found out dawes made the team over Atler: What were they thinking.?) I was very dissapointed that Shannon choose not to continue but I was never dissapointed in Shannon. Her floor routine had more polish to it then anyone else competiting at trials and her bars set was way underscored (Go ahead find me a form break) Her beam set had all the form, technique and presense that she had back in 96. I saw her nail 5 or 6 vaults in warm ups and they all had the great form, height and distance needed. Shannon made me proud because she tried, she did her best and I just wanted to say that. I am so upset that I won't see Shannon compete in Sydney that I don't think I can or will even watch the games (Tho I am rooting for Amanar to finally win that AA)

The Catagory was, Sports Stars! The Question revolved around which Gold medal gymnasts had her team mates as her bridesmaids at her wedding. Well Worlds is over Congratulations to Maria Olaru for her DESERVED All Around Win. She is a very consistent gymnast and deserved her title. On my predictions I didn't do to bad, Amanar could of won if not for her bar problems and Prudonova finished 4th. Olaru won so I had her for a chance. As for Vault Atler didn't make finals but Amanar won silver. I had never seen Zamo vault before worlds so I couldn't of even guessed her vaulting Gold. My beam prediction was dead on, Congrats to Ling Jie. Khorkina won bars so I was right on there, even tho I think Ling Jie deserved to win. As for floor well, I was off, tho Prudonva can really tumble and probably was underscored Radacan's routine was great. *************************************************************************************** September 18th- I updated the Shannon Miller page with a new picture on the front page. My Predictions are either Amanar or Prudonova for All Around, Atler of Amanar for Vault. Ling Jie for bars and beam and Zamo or Prudnova for floor. In all reality Khorkina will win bars again but a upset could be in the making with the worlds in China this year. I can also see Maria Olaru taking a medal in the All Around or Vault. I think these worlds will be much like 91, were who ever the runners up are now (Like, Miller , Gutsu and Milo were in 91) will be the future All Around Olympic Champion, with the current crop taking the worlds by storm (Khorkina, Amanar, Prudonova etc..)but faltering in the Olympics. She had a upsetting meet in Paris were she went before the green light was on for vault and ended up getting a 8.400 for her second vault.
