The injury occurred in a spring training game vs. the New York Yankees in Fort Lauderdale on March 18

Placed on the 15-day Disabled List March 20

Underwent successful surgery in Atlanta April 4

The surgery was performed at Piedmont Hospital by Dr. Marvin Royster, who was assisted by team orthopedic surgeon Dr. Joe Chandler

Jones was transferred to the 60-day disabled list May 5
