The Vikings lost five quality seniors off last year team, but they return two of the best players in the conference in Indiana All-Star candidate Jeanette Gray and junior Erin Sampsel. They will also get plenty of help from a 20- 0 JV team. 5'11 Sophomores Courtney Rosenbaum and Lee Traynham were part of the first undefeated JV team in Valpo's history. Look for senior Lorie Homan or sophomore Dana Lippelt to get the other starting spot.
Staying in the game early is very important for us. Last year we played a good second half, but it was too late. Intensity wise, Valpo teams play at a whole different level. The ability to handle the fullcourt pressure and aggressive half court defense is key for us.
