Laci Bender

6-0 So. P Kingfisher, Oklahoma

One of only two returners from last season, she saw considerable playing time as she played in 26 games, starting in 15. Bender was a three-sport athlete for the Lady Jackets, playing basketball and softball, as well as running on the track team. She was also named to the Shriners All-Star team, K-101 Classic Bowl team, the Phillips All-Star team, and the Linsey All-tournament team as a senior. A Who's Who in Sports and Academics for three years, she was also an Academic All-Stater as a senior. Daughter of Greg and Toni Bender, Laci is majoring in communications.

Coach Sorrell's comments: "Laci has had a difficult preseason with injuries, but she has a tremendous work ethic. Strong inside, she will be a big factor this year."
