LSU Homecoming 2004 Purple & Gold Games

More than 300 students gathered in the Union Royal Cotillion Ballroom on the evening of Oct. 18, for the Purple and Gold Games, one of the many homecoming activities held across campus. Student organizations from every corner of the LSU campus were represented as the teams competed for points that go toward the overall sweepstakes award at the end of Homecoming week. The non-traditional games included “Tandem Banana Ping-pong Hockey,” “Topsy-turvy Potato Sack Balloon Race” and “Dress-up Relay.” Other homecoming week activities include a Lip Sync competition and a cheer and yell contest held in conjunction with the pep rally at the end of the week. By all accounts, the Purple and Gold Games were a success and there were no reported injuries.
