My name is Landon E. Brinkman and I am from Fargo, North Dakota. I graduated from North Dakota State University in August of 2001 with a BS in Management Information Systems.  I also obtained a minor in Computer Science.

For fun, I like to attend sporting events and movies. I am a huge baseball and football fan. Go Twins! Go Vikings! I enjoy any good sci-fi movie and consider myself as a mild trekker. As far as work goes, I work part time for Fargo Assembly Company doing CAD work in the engineering department. During the summer I work as an usher for the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks baseball club of the Northern League. I also volunteer in the IT department for the West Fargo Public School District throughout the school year. I really enjoy helping out there and have made many friends through the experience. I am a graduate of West Fargo from 1996.

The Younger Years (1978-1990)

I grew up in Fargo when I was a child.  I attended Lewis and Clark Elementary until the beginning of the 4th grade.  I really enjoyed living in Fargo, and hated it when my parents said we were moving all the way to West Fargo.  Not really a big move, but about 10 miles and a switch of school systems.  This probably turned out to be one of the best moves for me.  I started school at Westside Elementary in West Fargo about a month into the 4th grade.  I had a good teacher which made the change easy.  My Twins were also in the midst of a pennant drive which ultimately ended in World Series magic in October. In November, I also left for a nice two week vacation shortly after, when my parents took our family to Walt Disney World.

The Junior High and High School Years (1991-1996)

Well the first highlight for this period was definitely the Twins winning the World Series in October of 1991.  I was so happy when they won their second series in 5 years.  The next big highlight for me was going to Space Camp in Hutchinson, KS.  I really enjoyed this experience a lot.  It was such a fun time and I met many new friends.  I was even given the rank of Mission Commander for our training flight simulation.  High school was a good time for me as well.  I picked out what I wanted to do for a career with the help of some great teachers. Ken Janz was the Network Administrator for the school district and teacher of Computer Science II.  I learned a great deal from him and still consider him a friend.  I also had the help of Peggy Spitzer who helped myself and some friends get off the ground in a PowerPoint project that was shown at the Senior Choir Concert.  I thank her for all of her help on that!  I graduated in 1996 and headed on to college at North Dakota State.

The College Years (1996-2001)

The beginning of college was marked with many changes.  I entered school as a EE major with an emphasis on computers, but soon switched to Computer Science.  Well I didn't like CS much either so I changed to Management Information Systems.  I have been in MIS for 3 years now.  I plan on staying there too!  It looks like I should graduate in the spring of 2001.  I cannot wait! Now that I know what my major is I can finally focus on my studies.  I am a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals.  This is a group that works on various computer and business related activities.  Another thing that I have enjoyed during college is my summer work as an usher for the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks.  I get paid to watch baseball.  How much better can it get?  I don't know.  If I am not working the game I can usually be found up in suite 311 with my co-workers from Fargo Assembly Company.  During the winter I can usually be found at FM-Beez games.  Saturday nights in the fall are reserved for the Thundering Herd.  Go Bison!  The Bison are one of the best DII college football programs.  Its been a while since they last won a national championship(1990), but will eventually regain their supremacy.

Pets

Well I currently have two cats.  Hobson and Dusty.  I had a Sheltie dog but he was hit by a truck two years ago right before Christmas.  My cat Hobson is  roly-poly cat who doesn't care much what you do to him.  He will just lay there and take it.  He likes to play a lot too.  Dusty is not quite as nice.  She tends to get mad if you bug her.
