I will agree with you about Diego being the most talented footballer I have seen, but I
am  amazed by the negative  attitude  that  I  recieve when I  even  mention  the  name
'Maradona'. I  believe  that there  is  an  image  that  people  have  stigmatized  the
sportsman/woman with that requires them  to be 'saints' to be appreciated. This saintly 
image is not what  I look for in a sports figure (like Maradona), as I am mature enough
to  understand  that  they  have got  their  faults/problems not unlike other people. I
am  stunned  when  people react  with  bitterness when  I propose that,'Maradona, in my
opinion is the best football player I  have  seen'. I  guess I  will have  to attribute
this kind of reaction to either immaturity or BLINDNESS.
