Between the innocence of boyhood and the dignity of man, we find a creature called a hockey player. Hockey players come in assorted weights, heights, jerseys, colors and numbers, but all hockey players have the same creed--to play every second of every period of every game to their best ability.

Hockey players are found everywhere--underneath, on top of, skating around, falling over, passing by, twisting from, or stickhandling through the enemy.

Teammates rib them, officials penalize them, students and fans cheer them, kid brothers idolize them, coaches critcize them, girls adore them, mothers worry about them and dentists love them.

A Hockey Player is courage on skates, hope in a helmet, pride in pads and the best of young manhood in a jersey and breezers.

Just A Boy..........
He Stands at the blueline, with his heart pumping fast
The score is tied, the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help him, he stands all alone.
A goal at this moment, could send his team home.
The puck nears the goal, he shoots and he misses.
There's a groan from the crowd with some boos and some hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries, "throw out the bum."
Tears fill his eyes, the games no longer fun.
Remember he's just a boy, who stands all alone.
So open your heart and give him a break.
For it's moments like this, a man you can make.
Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget,
He's just a boy, he's not a man yet.
A parent from our team took these 2 pics.....I loved them as soon as I saw them!!!!!
The Players Psalm
The coach is my shepherd
I shall not get penalized
He maketh me do skating drills
My Captain leadth me into games
He restoreth my faith
He leadeth me into the path of winning games for teams sake
Yea though I face the wrath of the coach
I will fear no evil
For my stick is with me
My pads and my helmet they comfort me
They preparest game situations for me
In the presence of my rivals
They annointist my body with sweat
My water bottle runneth over
Surely stats and games shall follow me for all the days of my career
And I will dwell on winning the Stanley Cup forever
