All Edmonton Oiler fans are proud and loyal to thier team and what they represent, The Edmonton Oilers to me represent the little guy that made it...the underdog that achieved, they represent the community and the proof that a little city with litle money can make it in the big league. And most of all Oiler fans are loyal because the endured the teams many hardships such as losing legends like Gretzky, Messier, Fuhr, Tikkanen, the list is countless...also the many threats by Peter Pocklington and the city for the relocation of the team...and the hardships on the ice as the Oilers missed the playoffs 4 years in a row, but now a new dawn of heroes has risen to give this team hope for the future...stars such as Doug Weight and Bill Guerin and the Three D-men give this team new hope...but Peter Pocklington gives this team a new threat as he relinquishes his owner duties of the Oilers and the team is in danger of moving out of Edmonton...but like all Oiler fans...we hope and keep believing in these Oilers..that they will make it and they will win another cup here in Edmonton...so here is my tribute to the Edmonton Oilers

Hey, it's me again. It's been a long summer without Oilers hockey but once again it is hockey season coming up shortly. I hope you're excited as I am. Well we have new personal changes in the Oilers, specifically that we added an e in the coache's last name. Ron Low gone after dropping a contract offered by Slats (now he's coaching in Houston with the Aeros, personally I'm gonna miss him because he was one of the most out-spoken , most verbal coaches in Oilers history, and he did get the Oilers into the playoffs you have to respect that) and the heir to the throne Kevin Lowe will take over as Oilers coach. Old Oilers come back as Craig MacTavish becomes Lowe assistant coach and Bill Ranford signed on to challange Tommy Salo and become a reseonable backup. Also Esa Tikkanen is trying out for the Oil to give it one last try, all the best to him. But as some new players come in, old ones come out, specifacally Kelly Buchberger as he becomes a Thrasher when Atlanta selected him in the Expansion draft. We're going to miss the Captain, all signs point to Doug Weight taking over as captain. Steve Passmore got traded to Chicago and Essensa is now in Pheonix. And Grier, Guerin, and Hamrlik are all in holdout for new contracts. But we all can't wait till October 1 so we can drive on Wayne Gretzky Drive and see the banner raised up on 99.
