![]() Chibing WuUpdated Feb 98Age: 34 Born: Sichuan, China Current home: New York City, NY Club: New York Occupation: Student Achievements: Chibing played mixed doubles on the international circuit, achieving a 3rd place finish at the World Championships in 1989. Between 1992 and 1996, Chibing played in Europe, winning the Toulouse Open International Championships in 1994, and was ranked first in singles in Spain in 1992 and 1993. His coaching assignments in Spain included head coach of the Spanish National Olympic Team. During the past two years, Chibing has been coaching and playing in the United States turning in first place performances in the OCBC Open, the Southern Badminton Classic and the Northeast Regional Championships as well as both the Eastern States Open and the Connecticut Open. Although he coaches primarily in New York, he has been invited at various times to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs to work with our national athletes there. His success continues this year with wins in singles at both the Connecticut Open and the Boston Open. Goals: Keep on playing at a competitive level |
