WALTZ COUNTRY DANCE (WALTZ) | ||
This is a circle dance for 2 couples. Couples stand in a circle. even numbers facing clockwise uneven counter- Couples move in the direction in which they are facing. | ||
BARS | DESCRIPTION | |
1 - 4 | All set to the dancers facing them-men set to opposite ladies. 2 pas de basque moving forward and back. | |
5 8 | They change places with the dancers to whom they have set passing by the right. The men dance straight forward but the ladies do a full waltz turn. | |
9 - 16 |
Repeat all this back to original places. | |
17 18 | All four make a circle and do the same two steps forward and backward. | |

19 - 20 | The men. dancing on the spot. give both hands to the opposite lady and bring her across to their right hand. | |
21 - 24 | They make a circle again, set, and bring their own partners back to place. | |
25 - 32 | They repeat these last 8 bars | |
33 - 40 | Couples change places with poussette. The men begin the poussette by pushing their partners backwards. | |
