In this section of the page I will tell you a bit about me and how I'm involved with the London Wheelchair Hockey Team

Hi, I'm Jeff Preston. The reason that I am in a wheelchair is because I have Congenital Muscular Dystrophy(logo above belongs to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada). Anyway, hockey is like life for me. During the summer I practice for the coming season and whenever I am not playing hockey in London, then I am either playing road hockey or hockey on my computer! As you can see, I'm a hockey fanatic!

If you don't play with London...then I will go into a little more depth about myself...I was the Poster Boy for the MDAC two years in a row and on the third year I was the first National Poster Boy or politically correct, Campaign Assistent.

On a more personal note, I am 14 years old and live about 2 and a half hours away from London...3 from Toronto and 3 and a half from Hamilton. You may think I'm crazy...or rather...my parents are crazy for driving me to London almost every Friday from October to May but...they believe in keeping me as active as possible and here where I live...well...lets just say there is next to nothing fun for a kid in a Wheelchair to do...not that it isn't a great vacation spot! (I've been brainwashed by the town to say that when ever possible! Just kidding) Anyway...

Just recently(May 15) I attended the 6th Annual National Wheelchair Hockey Tournement. Unfortunetly, London was not able to get any wins this year however; we did get a lot of complements on how much our team had improved. I personally had the time of my life! I made the All-Star team which was a lot of fun, I got to rube elbows with Mike Lavalle(only one of the best wheelchair hockey players around!), and I even got to dye my hair purple(coolness)! All in all, I feel that the tournement was a complete success and in two years, London will be back on their feet and looking for a victory...or more then two goals in one game!(inside joke)
