ABOUT MY PERSONA:

I was born in 1443 in Larkhall, Scotland on the Clyde Banks to David the Bowman and Gwen the Fletcher's Daughter. My father was a member of the House of Gordon and served as one of the Laird's personal guards. My mother was born in Wales and her family came to Scotland when she was very young so her father and brothers' could make bows for the Duke of Huntley. I left home at age 14 (due to a small problem with the Laird's youngest daughter) and after stealing my father's sword and burning the stables as a distraction, made good my escape before being beheaded. I then became a mercenary during the War of the Roses, fighting for both sides according to whoever paid best. Over the years I became a very successful mercenary with my own company. During these years, in one of the many battles, it was necessary to make a tactical withdrawal from the battlefield, stopping to loot the baggage train of my own side as we left. Unfortunately the Duke whose baggage train we looted, eventually became King in 1483 (Richard III). He had a VERY long memory of a certain mercenary who once looted his pay chest. Therefore I decided a vacation to the continent was in order and hired on as an armed guard for the merchant, William of Canterbury, with six men I trusted with my life. Unfortunately the ship hit a storm on the way to Flanders and we washed ashore on some strange land called Ealdormere. The idiot navigator didn't know how to find his way back and unfortunately drowned under mysterious circumstances. So here I stay because I gave my word on holy steel to William of Canterbury to guard his daughter Eleanor and family, and his property (I suspect she may have gold hidden somewhere in her possessions).
