The Bucs First Championship: A Dozen Days in January

At this point, every thing that could have been said or written about the game
had been done. It seems like everyone who had ever played for the Buccaneers
had a moment in the sun. The prognosticators had analyzed, over-analyzed and
re-analyzed every facet of the game. The saturation point had been passed, but
I'm not sure anyone noticed.
Television stations broadcast special day-before-the-game reports. Newspapers published larger and larger special sections. Everyone was talking Buccaneers. Every report, every interview and every story was absorbed as if it had to make up for the team's history of losing over the last quarter century. Maybe some felt if they stopped reading, watching and talking about it, they'd wake up and find it was all just a dream. No one can ever accuse the Tampa Bay area of not enjoying Super Bowl week.
