The Brendan Shanahan Shrine

Lots of pics, be patient.

This page honors the greatest power forward in the game today. He led the Detroit Red Wings to the Stanley cup in 1997. I can still remember when Shanahan came to St. Louis, (I'm sorry, I failed to mention I'm from St. Louis) people gave him such a hard time originally because we lost Scott Stevens as compensation to the New Jersey Devils for him. It didn't take that long for him to show St. Louis fans he was the real deal. We all lived happily ever after until the Scrooge came to town. Mike Keenan traded are beloved Shanny for some lanky defenseman named "Pronger" who looked more like a college basketball player(and played more like one in his first season) than a hockey player. Iron(head) Mike banished our Shanny to Hartford and told us all to "Embrace Change". Since then Mike had to embrace a'little change himself. Mike Keenan will never be welcomed back to St. Louis, but Shanny would be any day of the week. I've been getting alot of feedback about this site, most pro-Red Wings. Remember, I'm from St. Louis and STILL a Blues Fan. I've put this site to rest so I can persue other interests. It will not see anymore updates.

Shanahan and Brett Hull after Detroit defeated St. Louis in the 1997 playoffs

From the glory years in St. Louis. (from left) Nelson Emerson, Craig Janney, and Brendan Shanahan celebrating Shanahan's 50th goal.

This is my Favorite picture, just Shanny setting on the bench. I don't know who the guy is over his shoulder, but it looks like he's planning to cut Shanny's throat! (I know, I know. It's the Red Wings trainer John Wharton. Just a joke people!)

Here's a picture of Shanny scoring past his mortal enemy Patrick Roy

Here's a picture I had him autograph the day after he was traded to Hartford.

Here's a 1994 All-Star puck signed by the All-Star himself.

Here's a picture of the three St. Louis All-Stars in 1994

A nice picture of Shanahan in a St. Louis Sweater.
