This page is my codes and Stradegy page...I have about 7 stradegies and a BUNCH of codes so far...Let me start with a little background basics on Warcraft 2, Tides of Darkness. This game is probably my favorite game in the world. I have enjoyed playing this for a long time. I have been a playing for about 3 years and have beat the game a bunch of times(by the way, the best way to beat the last ORC campaign game is with dragons....claim the Island to the west of you as fast as you can, that will bring in more gold.) I consider myself an expert in Warcraft and if anyone wants to challenge me to a duel, I will be glad to play over modem sometime...just E-mail me(on main page) and tell me a time and date. I can beat my brother anytime we play it. Well, enough of my jibber-jabber.

Here is some strategies to help you all on your quest:

The first wall-in procedures

First of all, you have to know how to wall yourself into your kindom and give those stinkin' enemies a hard time when attacking you. The first thing you gotta do is know this: People say that the farms is th best wall in stradegy. I disagree for this reason. If you piut walls up, the computer won't attack them and if you are playing a human, they will be smart enough not to attack the walls as long as you put about 3 towers up. Sure farms have a hit point of 400, and you need them anyway. But It is not going to matter if you put up walls. The Computer just stands there like idiots. They won't atttack the walls. Humans can attack the walls, but if you put 3 towers up behind the walls, then the human won't be stupid enough to attack them(if he is a good player).

The Ruines Spell

1) The best part of the ogre-mage is his spells. I think the Ruines spell is one of the best spells there is in the entire game. If you have Ogre mages, all with at least 200 mana, and you are about to attack a settlement with a TON of men, then this is the best spell for you. Put Ruines all along the opening's where the enemy will be running through to defend against your attack. Then after you have done so, use a catapault or a few axe-throwers or even a death knight to just attack the enemy's building once. The enemies men will be running for you to intercept the on coming attack. As they approach, do not retreat, they will just run right into the ruines and kill themselves off. By the time they have reached you, they will either be dead or SERIOSLY wounded. Then finish them of with the ogres and the rest of the army you have made. You will come out with hardly any casualties, and they lost everything they had. I think you will know what to do from there on out.

2) Ruines can be an effective weapon in another way: If you are running from an army and you have a few Ogre-mages, stop and place Ruines right behind you. When the enemy comes running to get you, they will run right into the ruines. It will kill several and hurt more. Keep doing this until the army has been almost completely destroyed. Then use the rest of your army to finish the job.

The Blood lust spell

Well, Blood lust is a great spell that Is from the Ogre mage. I found out that this spell TRIPLES the amount of dammage done by a unit. For example: A grunt has a damage of 3-9, right? Well, if you put blood lust on him, his damage could be up to 27!!! That is a great spell that I found out works a lot!

Invisable Mages

The Human race has many features that are very effective. My favorite is the Invisable mage. This is a simple trick and VERY effective if done right. I will give you 2 scenario's for this.

1) You are allied with an Orc clan that has Death knights. What you gotta do is get your friend to put Unholy Armor on the mage. After that is done, make your mage invisable. I think you know what to do now. The mage will stay invisable until he set's a spell or the spell wear's off. Now youa have an invisable and invinceable mage. Walk right through the defenses of the city. Walk right to the heart of the city, then turn on your blizzard spell. Since a spell cannot hurt its castor, it won't effect the mage. As he re-appears, all defenses will be dragged from the main defense area and try to attack the mage. With unholy armor on, he will be able to stay alive long enough to clear his mana with blizzards on the heart of the city. Now, if the defenses are down, you can have a attack force ready to attack. Right when the mage starts his blizzards, wait for the men to go get him, then attack his defenses, and if succesful, even continue to advance at your own discression. This is only a wy if you are allied with an Orc clan. There is another way to do this alone.

2) This attack is the same thing only you can do it without Unholy armor. If you do the same thing, only instead of Unholy Armor, you put Flame sheild on the mage, and invisability, it will work just as well.

The Invisable transport

The invisable transport is a great technique. I use it all the time. Does it seem that whenever you finally get a navy, your enemy has already beat you and has taken control of the sea? You can't transport men into a city because they have such high defense in the water? Well this strategy is for you!! All you have to do is build a transport(depending on how many mages you have, build as many as ur mages). Load up all the transports you can with men. Just before sending them to do their work, have mages turn each transport invisible. This will also turn all the men inside invisible. Due to the length of the spell, you can drop off all your men by weaving in and out of all the boats, then drop them off, and come right back to the base. If you have about 4 or 5 transports invisible and filled up, you can take out the cities in a heartbeat. Now all you have to do is take out the navy. I will get to that in the next strategy.

The first strike strategy

This strategy, some may say, is pointless, but I find it to be usefull when you have a few mages with full power and can't use them. You can either flame shield the ships, or you can turn them invisible. I think that invisibility is the best one. We all know that a destroyer vs. a destroyer both at the same upgrades are the same. The shot is whoever get's the first shot wins, right? Well, here is something to make sure you have the first shot. All you do is turn a destroyer or any boat invisible. This will give them the first shot and sooner or later, the win. This is a stupid way to win, but sometimes, its just fun to do, if your desperate.
