Why "Pakk" and "Pakkers"?
or
"Pakker" fans say the darndest things
As an educator, I've found that most "Pakker" fans often mispell the Packers and Pack as "Pakk" and "Packers." In fact, most "Pakker" fans are at a loss with the English language. Some gems that I've saved over a generation of teaching include:
1960s
"Vince Lombardi cooched and oned the game." He was a number one coocher, also a good coach...with the Redskins. Just like Curly Lambeau before him.
1970s
"Bart Stare got hurted last night."
He might have, but without him in there, I'm sure the other team was hurting.
"Fresh Start with Bart"
The end was pretty fresh too, it's just the middle that was rancid.
1980s
"J.J. and Loften are the best receevers in the game."
Of course, it would have been nice if they would have passed to J.J. once in a while.
1990s
"The only reason people says Don Shula is a good coach is that he wins alot of games."
It takes a "Pakker" fan to equate losing with good!
"Dan Majacowsky[sic] aren't no quarterback anymore."
Was he ever?
Sign at Pakker Super Bowl loss rally: "Mike. Pleese[sic] stay. We're not done yet." Obviously your English assignment is not done either.
