When Matt Maloney ended last season he tied the franchise record for having at least one 3-pointer in the last 23 consecutive games of last season. In the season opener against Cleveland Matt broke that record and extended that record to 25 straight games. This went virtually unrecognized until today in Eddie Sefko's Rockets Summary.

Matt he is having soreness in his right ankle. The good news is that he has been X-rayed and there is no fracture but he does have some bone spurs and tendinitis. Hopefully a few days rest will be enough for the ankle to get better. The Rockets doctors haven't ruled out surgery, but would most likely wait until after the season as his ankle doesn't appear to be that bad at the moment, Eddie Sefko from the Houston Chronicle reports.

Matt Maloney started his 100th game in a row against the LA Lakers placing him in the Top 10 in the NBA for most consecutive starts, in 9th place. Ahead of Matt on the list are such names as A.C. Green in 1st, Karl Malone in 2nd, Michael Jordan in 3rd, and Gary Payton in 7th. Eddie Sefko from the Houston Chronicle reports.
