1900/91 Second Division: 10th. FA Cup: First Round.
1901/02 Second Division: 15th. FA Cup: Intermediate Round.
Club name changes to Manchester United after being rescued from bankruptcy by wealthy Manchester brewer John Henry Davies who becomes chairman and president. Former captain Harry Stafford takes charge of team affairs. Colours change to red and white.
1902/03 Second Division: 5th. FA Cup: Second Round.
1903/04 Second Division: 3th. FA Cup: Second Round.
J.E. 'Ernest' Mangnall is appointed as secretary/manager. £450 secures the services of Charlie Roberts from Grimsby Town.
1904/05 Second Division: 3rd. FA Cup: Intermediate Round.
1905/06 Second Division: 2nd (promoted). FA Cup: Fourth Round.

1906/07 First Division: 8th. FA Cup: First Round.
United forms into a limited company.
1907/08 First Division: Champions. FA Cup: Fourth Round.
United celebrate their first League title finishing nine points clear of Aston Villa.
1908/09 First Division: 13th. FA Cup: Winners.
The Charity Shield is won for the first time when United defeat Queen's Pard Rangers 4-0 after a 1-1 draw. The club's first FA Cup triumph is secured with a 1-0 win over Bristol City at the Crystal Palace.
1909/10 First Division: 5th. FA Cup: First Round.
United move to OLD TRAFFORD, a site chosen and paid for by J.H. Davies who pays all the cost from his own pocket - a sum of £60,000; the equivalent of £1,000,000 at present prices. The ground opens on 19th February when Liverpool win 4-3 before a crowd of over 45,000.
