| 1949/50 | First Division: 4th. FA Cup: Sixth Round. The Club returns to Old Trafford which is still recovering from bomb damage. The first game back is on 24th August 1949 and United defeat Bolton Wenderers 3-0. Goalkeeper Ray Wood signs from Darlington for £6,000. |
