Rather than have an email system most people get bored with and block or have the email directed into their trash can, I thought it may be a good idea to write the latest news on the site itself.  I will not be writing everyday as it's not a journal!

Been a while since I had anything to say here.  Ok, I don't have anything to say....except *where are the poems you ppl write...don't make me break out my awesome poetry skills again dammit*.   And please remember - the poems can ONLY relate to Crows.  I often get poetry sent to me, and not a crow in sight :(  Thanks, now start writing your poetry!

Just to let you know I have decided to remove my Award Program due to health reasons.  I thank  all those who helped with judging, and especially those who choose to submit their sites to my Program.  I will be concentrating on improving the site, as the Award Program just takes up too much of my time, and with several sites to upkeep, it's a big business I can no longer continue.  Where I found the time before I'll never know!!!

As you may have seen I have been out of action due to being involved in a car accident.  I apologise for not being around to add more beautiful poetry, but bear with me and I will soon.  Thank you to all those who took the time to write to me to wish me well when I got my husband to suspend my Award Program for me.

Received a Gold Award from SK70 - very cool.  Added a % to the Winners site so people can see how many Awards are actually won by this site (don't lost hope!!!).

Changing pages for the Award I had trouble with below got rid of the glitch...but I'd still like to know *why* it does that!  Have added a scoring criteria to the Award Program - have toughened up, or made it more obvious I'm not a push-over - the amount of people who don't receive Awards far outweighs those who do (don't let that put you off  though - just know it's more exclusive to receive an Award not *everybody* was able to get :)

I received two wonderful Awards this month :)  Currently putting together a scoring page for my Award section, so that will be up in the next week.  Pretty miffed about the glitches Geocities gets - the first Award this week, although perfect in html for the link back, when it was uploaded and you clicked on it, it shoved oocities.com in *front* of her address, making it useless.  Yet when you looked at the source code, it was the *right* URL.  Very weird - anyone has suggestions on how to make that go away when it happens, please email me!  Thank you.

I've been a bit slack haven't I :P Sorry about that.  But nothing much has been happening on this front.  Although today I am pleased to say we have a new poetry submission from White Raven, so check it out here or at the Poetry Index, just in case you missed the last poems submitted!!!

Added on a SiteMap to each page for those who don't use JavaScript - just can't believe I hadn't done it before *duh*.  Waiting for more wonderful people to submit their poems *hint hint*.  Getting a little annoyed with people applying for awards not reading the Criteria....the basic one that they must have an Awards page...hey it's the least they can do if they want people to go to their site and rate it.  No Award page = No Award :)

Felt it was time to make a title banner for my site, so now you will find on each page the name of the site.  Also have changed the email gif as felt it was slightly big before.  Any complaints = email me!

4 more wonderful Awards won!!!

Lately there has been a flux of applications for Awards from this site.  I can't understate how I really hate Award seekers (those who don't give a toss what, where, or who the Award comes from or why - they just want any award to throw on their usually boring useless site).  I'm afraid unless their site is amazing they won't be hearing from me.  Maybe if they spent more time and actually worked on their site instead of chasing Awards they may get further!

Another poetry submission.  This has to be one of the most amazing and touching poems I have read, and my thanks goes out to my friend Onyx who wrote this piece, titled 'Journey Of The Raven'. I am sure you will be hearing more from Onyx in the future.

You will notice the menu bar to the top has changed slightly.  With the wonderful submissions I have received the list of poems was getting fairly long, so have gone to an index instead to make it easier on those with 14" screens!

Today I am thrilled to say I have uploaded a poem written by a person very special to me, which is titled "Solo Warrior".  Check it out!

In between times I've been fixing more stupid HTML errors I had made - nothing substantial, just a missing *>* which had gone unnoticed in all my frantic checking.  But it's done now.  Enjoy!

Finally I did it.  I wrote my own poetry for this site - well 2 poems!  I shouldn't have due to the fact I *know* I can't write to save myself - never have, never will.  However it seemed only fair that people were submitting me their own poetry for my site and I didn't even have anything of my own to contribute - until now!

Today I have fixed a HTML problem I could not believe I had - I don't want to admit what it actually was, suffice to say I was embarrassed and have subsequently kicked myself....several times.

I have in the last week (I'll add it here due to not having started the news until today), put up some more poetry.  I am pleased to say I have added 2 from myself.  But please let me mention that I have absolutely no talent poetry-wise myself, although I wish I did.  They were fun to write, so don't give me too much grief over them!
