MARCH 2004 PACK MEETING
Our Second-Year Webelos crossed over to Boy Scout Troop 612. The Pack presented the Scout who earned all 20 Webelos pins a shadow box that was prepared by their parents.

OUR ANNUAL BLUE & GOLD DINNER CELEBRATING THE 94TH BIRTHDAY OF SCOUTING WAS HELD ON FEBRUARY 7.
Our Second-year Webelos, the Cobra Patrol, received their Arrow of Light Award - the highest rank in Cub Scouts.

The Pack attended the Harlem Globetrotters game on January 17. A total of 32 people enjoyed the show, including: Sean, Den 4; Kevin, Den 4; Jacob, Den 6; Cole, Den 7; Grant, Den 9 and Matthew, Den 9!

PINEWOOD DERBY TUNE-UP
was held Saturday, January 10.
Many Scouts brought their car kits and got some tips for constructing an awesome racing machine for the races on February 28.

OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE PICK-UP was held on Saturday, January 3.
We had a great turnout and a successful event!! A HUGE thanks to everyone who participated and to Den 9 Assistant Webelos Leader Jon and Cubmaster Mike for coordinating.

Over a dozen Scouts with their Friends and Family attended the WINTER BREAK ICE SKATE on Saturday, December 27. They had a good time while working on their Ice Skating Belt Loop!

PACK CAMPIRE was held on
Saturday, November 1 at 6:00PM - at Garin Park in Hayward (in the hills above Mission Blvd. near Industrial Blvd.) at the Arroyo Flats Campsite.
We held a special celebration and recognition for the Scouts and families that participated in the Popcorn Booth Sales with a barbecue and roasted marshmallows.

During the month of October we sold popcorn at Albertsons on Hesperian (near Black Angus) and Safeway at the Greenhouse center on weekends. This is our biggest fund-raiser and we had great participation. Thanks to Stormy for coordinating!!!

Scouts from Pack 603 joined the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA COUNCIL IS PARTICIPATING IN JAMBOREE ON THE AIR ("JOTA") on Saturday & Sunday, Ocotber 18 & 19 at the Youth Leadership Training Center at 1001 Davis Street, San Leandro.
They learned who to operate a ham radio and talk to other scouts around the world and learned a simple code to talk even if you don't speak the same language. There were special radio "maps" and displays.
