MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE INFORMATION
Certified copy  [below] of  the Registration of Marriage in the "Register " office Cumberland,  of Joseph Nicholson- occupation Joiner [ a cabinet maker],  and Jane Craghill - occupation "Reeler"  which was one who operated the machine that wound the yarn onto the bobbin.
Jane was the daughter of Joshua Craghill occupation Dyer. The witnesses were Jane Nicholson probably Joseph's sister and Robert Patterson of  unknown relationship but a witness for the bride.

17 May 1906 at Preston Hill, Carngham, county of Greville, Jane Nicholson, carpenters wife. Female aged 74 yrs and 11 months. Fathers name Joshua CRAGHILL, Dyer. Mother Jane PHILLIPS.

She is buried at the Carngham Cemetery. Jane was born in "Warwick Bridge", Cumberland  [Warwick Bridge, District of Carlisle, Subdistrict of  1 Wetheral, Cumberland, England. She was married in Carlisle District, at the age of 22 years, to Joseph Nicholson. Her children were Jane 43 yrs and  5 months,  Joseph Joshua dead, William 38 years and 4 or 6 months.
